This is a bug in MS-DOS. Unless you have CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT
files (no matter what is in them), the PATH= line in your environment
will be defined as a null string, which breaks the v2.00 startup code.

Solutions:

1) Create CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT for your dosemu session, and set a
PATH that includes the DJGPP bin directory. You also MUST set the
"DJGPP" environment variable as describe in the 'readme.1st' file.

2) Get v2.01, which contains a workaround to the problem. But you still
must set up your enviroment correctly!
