hi,
first off, let me say that i really appreciate the new features in rhide
... not the least of which is to the ability to use 90x34 screens. i have
a couple of questions mainly aimed at seeing if it is something i am
doing that causes the following problems.
a. when i highlight an area of text (using shift-arrow keys), i expect
that area to be cleared if i then type something or press del or
backspace. in fact, the previous version of rhide exhibited this
behavior. unfortunately, this doesn't work in the current version on my
computer.
b. when i press the tab key, say 3 times, to advance to a certain
position in a line, i expect to be able to go back to the previous
position by pressing the left arrow key 3 times. again, this was the
behavior in the previous version, but somehow it doesn't work in the
current version.
also, rhide did not seem to restore the video mode to standard co80 on a
few occasions. however, since i could not consistently reproduce the
problem, i do not know if this was due to something else i might have
been doing.
as for (a) and (b), i tried those with several combinations of the
following options turned on and off: use real tabs, c-style indent and
autoindent.
is it me or these some minor bugs.
my thanks again go to robert hoehne.
sinan.
