Whether this is a known problem, depends on your answers to the following 
questions.

	1) How many calls to malloc does it take, and how much memory (in
bytes) can you allocate before you get SIGSEGV? 

	2) Do you use CWSDPMI as your DPMI server?  If so, which version 
of CWSDPMI?
