Please download and read the DJGPP FAQ (v2/faq202b.zip).  This question
is addressed in section 6.10.

Short answer:  Use the 'redir' program that comes with DJGPP as follows:

  redir -e stderr.out myprog ...

The '-e' option tells redir to redirect stderr to the indicated file.
