Hullo there peoples,

Well I said I'd put a patched compiler on my web page if I didn't have
any problems... and I've had some problems!

I've got the new V2.01 make, and I think it's a Little Bit Different.

A) It won't run the gen* executables unless I add '.' to the path.
Luckily, I knew enough of Unixisms to think of trying that.

B) A mysterious entity called 'sh' produces warnings something like
so:

gensomething < ./something.def > something.c
sh: Filename <.something.def> contains too many periods, changing to
<~something.def>

(Approximately)

Another strange Unixism! Also, when running the gen* programs, it
always gives "Warning: EMS unavailable"???

C) When it tries to link cc1, it gives a ".text: line number overflow
(0x1???? more than 0xffff)"

and stops compiling.

Wah!

Help!

Part C is the only real problem, but I think my preventative copying
of whatver_it_was.def to ~whatever_it_was.def only just stopped B from
being a problem. And A was a problem for a while.

Regards,

ABW
