I've been using 386MAX with DJGPP since the 1.x days.  What version of
386MAX do you have?  What version of DJGPP do you have?  I suspect it's
a problem with you're 386MAX install or a conflict with something else
in your system.  I have *never* seen 386MAX just restart the computer.
