Can you elaborate a bit, please?  Why does 4DOS mind forward slashes?  Is 
it documented somewhere in the 4DOS docs?  If so, what specifically are 
the limitations that 4DOS imposes?

DJGPP has many ported programs that need their environment variables in
the Unix style, so the above is an important piece of knowledge for DJGPP
users.  Thanks for reporting it.
