Hello ALL,
I try not to bother you guys too much but I'm rather spooked
with my new Win 95 OS and the reams of memory I now have.

I would like to know the best way to set DJ and RHIDE up in Win95.

I have read both FAQs 200 & 201 and it doesn't appear specific as to the
best configuration when running from 95.

I have 32megs of RAM and have ALL of my programming stuff on a slave
drive D:\ and the OS system files etc on C:\,E:\,F:\ .

The docs recommend a 4 meg RamDrive->TEMPDIR and a 4 meg cache but I'm
wondering how I set that up for the Dos Box or if it's even possible.

Also, do I set the cache to ONLY cache the D:\ drive???..

I'd like to maintain 95 in the background if I can but when I try and
configure the dos box it simply drops out of 95 and lands me in Dos.?

Currently I'm running from a default DosBox with a 4 meg RAMDRIVE but it
seems the File IO is bogging it down an otherwise faultless performance.

ALSO can anyone tell me of a local site in Australia that mirrors DJ??
Archie.au used to but unfortunately not anymore..:-(

PS:- Thanks for DJGPP it's GREAT!
Thanks for RHIDE, it was ordinary on my 386*40 but GREAT on my P133
Thanks for Allegro, I'm about to find it FANTASTIC!

(OH! Well, Lifes like that Sumtimes) Regards Ron T Lewis
