Hello,

I'm having some problems with Allegro 2.1 and its VESA 1.x
support. Although my program works fine in VESA 2.0 linear
framebuffer mode (GFX_VESA_2L or whatever), when I pass
GFX_AUTODETECT to the graphics intialisation function and run the
program on a VESA 1.x machine, the program hangs up. Has anyone
else experienced this problem, and if so how do I fix it? (Am I
just being stupid?!)

In addition to this, I'm also having difficulties with the GUI
dialog box support. My dialog box features, so far, one 300x300
shadow box with one piece of centred text, one piece of normal
text and a list box with 25 items. It looks fine, but the
problem is that when I move the mouse to the list box both text
items disappear and don't come back! I've rearranged the
definitions, and made sure none of the items overlap, but still
the bloody things vanish. Any help much appreciated --even if
you never fixed it, it would just be nice to know that someone
else is having the problem...
