What version of DJGPP are you running?  I believe the 3DGPL was
written for DJGPP 1.x - and in particular it uses the linear screen
feature.  It should be reasonably easy to fix - from a quick look at
the code, you only need to fix up the HW_blit function in the file
3dgpl/code/hardware/386-gcc/hardware.c
