Try Hornet's guide to the PC Demo scene at
http://www.cdrom.com/pub/demos/hornet/html/demos.html
It's fairly dynamic & there are links to many, many other
demo pages.
Or else start/co-start a new one. I've been thinking about
it myself; I used to do some real-mode BC 3.1/assembler shit
with a friend a couple of years back, but now I use DJGPP/gcc
heavily and I haven't found a decent group that uses it too.
(I'm sure they exist, no angry flames, please, I just haven't
seen any :)
Another problem I encountered with joining demo groups was
they either already had good coders (and didn't need another;
musicians & especially good graphic artists are harder to find)
or I had to spend all my time explaining elementary stuff to
newbies -- great for my ego, but not terribly productive.

I would be willing to join/co-start a DJGPP/gcc oriented demo-group (not
real-mode-assembler-with-a-Turbo-Pascal-coating;not pure pmode assembler
-it can be fun, but you have to reinvent the wheel SO often with it) .
How about it? Anybody interested?
