Subject: Re: Can I fool 16650?

I need help , a lot of help.Is there any way to write directly to RS-232
pinouts? Just like parralel. I would like to Send data over serial link with
1mb/s If if you know any UARTS that would send data 1mb/s please tell me.I
will use Pentium 120 or even 133 fort that task. (Sounds really dumb , but
that what I have to do for my college assignment,Little project) I found no
way to do it ,yet.Coding will be done in Pmode.
:All I need to know -> Do you know/heard/seen any way to send data over
   serial link with 1mb/s.
   Any suggestions are welcome.

You should consider RS485 or something similar. Try
'comp.arch.embedded', the people there should know of products that
could help you. I have not heard of UARTS running at 1mb/s, but have
used HDLC controllers at this speed. Not on PCs, sorry.

(I will use DGJPP if you can help me)

You should use DJGPP anyway because it will help you.
