I am porting a Unix (Linux) application to DOS so I can run it under
a DOS shell under Windows 3.11. Have I chosen the easiest path for porting
by using Turbo C++ 3.0, or am I better off with another compiler?

1)	Does gcc for dos exist? Does the package come with the appropriate
	suite of unix like utilities?

2)	Can I run DJGPP programs under a Win3.1 shell? How bout a Win95
	or a WinNT shell?

3)	Would Windows compilers like MSVC or Borland C++ for windows ease
my porting pains? (Mostly getting a shareware tiff library written
	with ANSI C working).

I suspect getting GCC would be the best way to go, but I was hoping for some
input from some more experienced folk.
