This facility is very complex and powerful and cannot be explained in a 
short message.  It is documented in the GCC docs.  To read the sections
that explains this, invoke the Info browser like this:

	info gcc "C Extensions" "Extended Asm"

(note the quotes!).  This will display the first of a series of sections
that deal with the inline assembly facilities of GCC which you should
read.
