I'd like to see this recurring thread disappear. There are many
messages in the archive that explain the EXE size issues as well as
the very fine DJP compressor. If there are some suggestions based
upon an understaning of the constraints experienced by DJGPP, then I'm
sure everyone would like to hear them. The present setup is
comparable to other statically linked GCC programs considering that
the libraries and stub-loader are also linked into each EXE.
If someone would like to (try) to write a 16 bit compiler, please do.
It's a hard problem.
