RHIDE is OK, but still a tad buggy IMHO.

I tried Emacs, but since I was so used to using MS-DOS Edit for quick-and-dirty
file edits from DOS, I found that I only used to to write programs, which
seemed kind of a waste to me. :) Usually, I either type up my source in Edit,
exit, compile, and run, or I use RHIDE.
