I'm trying to do some SIMPLE inline assembly: main() { asm("movl $4,%eax" ://No output ://No input :"%eax" ); return 0; } It's not supposed to do anyhting except be a test except I get this erro when compiling: D:\DJGPP\Source>gcc test.c test.c: In function `main': test.c:6: invalid `asm': operand number missing after %-letter Could someone please tell me what's wrong with my simple little code snippet. Thanks.
