I have seen people discussing the emacs-like editors available.
For a long time I have used the Epsilon editor, an old version, using
emacs keymapping (Ctrl^X, Ctrl^C to quit, Alt-Space to mark, etc).
However, this editor obviously does not support Win95 long filenames,
making it very difficult to use when programming or for other tasks.
I was wondering if anyone could point me to a port of emacs to dos
that supports long filenames or ANY editor for dos/lfn that can be
modified to use emacs keymappings. I do NOT want to spend lots of
money (I am a student) and so therefore am not extremely interested in
commercial software unless it is inexpensive shareware.

Thanks,
Peter Johnson
