Thanks for the help. It would appear that there is a conflict between
DOS/4GW and CWSDPMI, this is mentioned in cwsdpmi.doc, I had missed it
before.

I have now run my DJGPP2.0 program and spawned the GS386 (DOS/4GW) under
Windows3.1 DOS box and it works OK. So now I have to find a version of
QEMM386 to test with.

I looked briefly at compiling Ghostscript under DJGPP2.0, but I think it
is a bit beyond me.
