Sorry, the DJGPP library doesn't have such a facility.  Somebody with 
enough time and motivation should read the sources for `malloc', 
understand the data structures used by it and write the code necessary to 
report the amount of free memory.

What DJGPP does let you know is the amount of memory that was not yet 
requested by the application from the DPMI server.  Check out the 
functions that report free physical RAM and available virtual memory.
