I don't know if I exactly understand your intention
but to learn about using bison I'd recommend to read LEX/YACC documentation
Whether BISON/YACC is feasible depends a bit on the syntax you want to
parse. A good book is also 'Compiler Construction with UNIX' by Axel T.
Schreiner.
