You're right ... I don't need far pointers winth a 32-bit offset.
What I really need is to point a pointer to a certain portion of the
memory. I'd like to make a pointer to video memory area, to tell you the
truth. I tried somethink like:
char *p;
p=(char *)(0xb8000);
... but I've got a SIGSEGV signal. Since I've never worked with
protected mode, I don't know how to do that work.
Regarding to peek/poke, these commands refers to memory positions,
while inportb/outportb refers to ports. They are diferent !!
