Then please yell at people who maintain Info, not at me.  The name of the 
Texinfo maintainer and his e-mail address can be found in the README file 
that comes with Texinfo source distribution (txi360s.zip).  FYI, this 
feature tracks the behavior of the Info reader in the Emacs editor, which 
is used by a large amount of people, so changing it won't be easy, even 
if you mention MS-Windows tradition.  But that shouldn't prevent you from 
trying (IMHO) if you feel strongly enough about the issue.
