Be sure that your lgp271b.zip is dated 21 February or later, then look 
inside it.  The library libstdcx.a should include all the standard C++ 
classes.  (The SGI might not have it because libg++ is a separate 
distribution, gcc doesn't come with it automatically.)

If your lgp271b.zip is earlier, get the newer one.
