Long ago and far away there was considerable controversy about the
assembler format used by the GNU assembler. Has that been resolved? At
the time (about 1.5 years ago) there was some talk about writing a
parser which could convert between the Intel format and the AT&T
formats. Has anything happened in this regard?

I am in the process of trying to write a book on 32 bit game
programming and I would like to be able to include DJGPP or at least
point to it on the net, but it is a considerable pain to have to
support multiple versions of assembler source code (not to mention
having to relearn the "back-asswards" syntax).

Any info would be appreciated.

TIA,

ken graham
