I've been programming with Allegro and DJGPP v2 for a few weeks now.
I've developed a simple prototype of a Zelda-like game engine, that
basically opens up a map file and several PCX files and lets you walk around
this 'world'(randomly generated terra-firma). However, the other day I
upgraded Allegro to full release from Beta... and now it won't work!
It crashes by doing everything fine, and then when I exit the screen is
flooded with "Exit due to Sigsev" errors. But not any old errors...
they're rapid in succession... so rapid, they form a blur. This display
goes on for several minutes, at the end of which DOS usually cruds out
with "Cannot load COMMAND" kind of errors(but not always). Any idea of
what's causing this? How can I fix it? Will I have to change libraries
or keep using the beta? What the heck is going on???
ANY help you can give me will be GREATLY appreciated! :)
