Subject: The virus rumor.....
Message-ID: <AA5C84C316E@eopnet.sjsu.edu>

Mr DJ Delorie:

I was reading some of the email from the DJGPP newsgroup and I
encoutered that made me glad and nevous at the same time.

There was another user concerned about certain files in DJGPP infect
with a virus. In your reply you said that if files where downloaded
from SIMTEl mirrors then they would be fine. Unfortunately, I
download my copy from x2ftp.oulu.fi, which is exactly where you
mentioned the infection might could come from. At least now I know
that my computer might be infected but then the headache is to rid my
system of it. I've been running the binaries for a few days already
so I don't know if my system is badly infect or not. I hope
not!!?????

Do you know what virus or what it can do? Is the rumor just a rumor
or is it truer than I'd like it to be?
If this is really true, please let me know. I already sent an e-mail
to the x2ftp.oulu.fi people, but since I got the news from you first,
maybe you might know some more that you could tell me before
I get any response from x2ftp.oulu.fi

Thank you for your time.....
Tom..........Thomas
