Subject: DJGPP V2 versus DJGPP V1.x

Hi,
anybody out there who would like to comment on this question:

I am thinking of stepping up to DJGPP V2. However, since I have compiled
*huge* libraries using DJGPP V1.x I am not sure I want to give my H-disk
another week of jitter. Now I read that '...Existing binaries compiled
under DJGPP V1.x can be used for applications for which there is no v2.0
version....' but I don't know if using DJGPP V1.x compiled binaries under
DJGPP V2 will imply substantial performance tradeoff in some respect ??

(Additional one: there where rumors on a virus in one of the distributed
files ... which file and what virus ??)

Any help is very much appreciated. I am NOT subscribing to the djgpp
mailing list so please mail your comments to:

Thanks :-) !
