Subject: V2 Performance slower than V1?

All,

I recently downloaded djgpp V2. When installed, I tried compiling a
program that I compiled many times under V1. It compiled fine, but
appeared to run about 10-20% slower than under V1.

I used the same optimisation flags as I did under V1, and tried with
and without the -fno-strength-reduce entry in lib/specs (as mentioned
in the FAQ).The flags I used were

-O3 -m486 -fomit-frame-pointer

Anyone know why V2 might be slower?
Are there any other compiler options I could use for *maximum*
performance optimisation?

Thanks in advance,
Tom King
