The problem is that the size of 'struct ffblk' is different in
C & in C++.

This actually looks like a genuine GCC bug (the ffblk's declaration uses
a lot of __attribute__(packed) hacks).

If you plan to use ffblk's in C++ code, write C functions to access ffblk's
fields and do not access the fields directly.
