Subject: Is there a symify that works with mono adapter?

Has anyone made a modification to symify that causes it to work on
the mono-screen adapter memory? I am using mshell (thanks, DJ), and
wish I could symify those pesky tracebacks that appear there. I made
a half-hearted attempt to find source for symify in the V2
distribution, but have not yet found it - is it there? My second
choice would be a utility that dumps the mono-screen to a file (as
symify can) so that I could then run symify on that file. (Yes, I know
that using redir beforehand could get me the dumps in a file, but I
rarely know ahead of time that I am going to have trouble).
On the subject of symify, I think that I am occasionally getting
line numbers that could not really be where it was. Is this just the
effect of the optimization having moved code around? (I would turn off
the optimizer if I knew beforehand I was debugging, but...)
   Thanks,
     Andy S.
