You didn't say if you use DJGPP v2 or v1.12.  In any case, you should 
first read Chapter 18 of the DJGPP FAQ list (available as faq102.zip from 
the v1 archives).  Then, there is a nice example of using timer 
interrupts from DJGPP on SimTel mirrors, look in SimTel/msdos/c directory 
for a file called pctime13.zip; it's a good place to start.
