Now for the bad news.  Virtual memory is broken in QDPMI which comes with 
QEMM 7.5: you'll never get more memory than is physically available.  So 
if you continue using that version, it doesn't matter at all what size of 
swapsize do you specify.

Upgrade to QEMM 8, this problem was fixed there.
