Subject:	ar problem?

Using the v2 version of pdc22.zip I compiled libcurso.a with no
proplems.

The very first sample attempted, "firework" failed to compile with

	../lib/libcurso.a could not read symbols: Malformed archive.

I extracted libcurso.a from the source and tried again.  "firework"
compiled, then "newdemo" but "testcurs" failed with the same dismal
message.

Pieter Kunst suggests that this is likely an "ar" problem.

Has anyone had similar problems?
