I have found a bug in the beta 5. Compiling code that works on the beta
3 and Borland 4.5, and Watcom, and has worked for several years, for loop
is misbehaving.  It is for (n_bits = 9; n_bits < 16; ++n_bits) and on the
first iteration, n_bits appears to be zero (appears because gdb doesn't
recognize it at all). I have a release of our software to get out and
beta3 will do the job. I will try to isolate the problem and get the
minimum code that shows the behavior. I'll post what I find here and on
the bug reporting system at www.delorie.com.
