Tried: yes; succeed: not yet.  The next beta5 will enable you to get Emacs
up and running, but there are still unsolved problems, some of them
probably in the original Emacs code.  Some of these problems were already
found and reported to Emacs maintainers; they will be installed in version
19.31.  But some problems has not been successfully debugged yet.  I
suggest you wait until 19.31 is out (soon) and try then, unless you have
enough free time to try to debug it yourself.  With some luck, both DJGPP
and Emacs will be ready by then.
