Well... my experience was gcc 2.6.0->2.6.3, and the bug was gone (2.6.0 crashed
on a wrong assignment of (some_type *)=(some_type **) (or vice versa?))

Anyway... I'd like to have 2.7.2 when I switch to v2, too (lots of toos here).
As far as I recall the gnu.gcc.announce (or so) posting, 2.7.2 is very much
preferrable over 2.7.1 (or even, *shudder* 2.7.0).
