I wish you were right, but I just rechecked, and I *do* have the beta9
version of CWSDPMI.  And I was running it when the problems occurred.
Another problem I encountered was that the compiler seemed to freeze
pretty frequently.  Beta3 never freezes on me.

Thanks for trying, though.  :-)

Any other suggestions?
