I guess you should use:
 gcc -S file.c
because cpp only preprocesses file.c (inserts headers, 
evaluate macros, replace consts, etc)

None that I know of, but who am i?

GNU Make, from the same dir you got DJGPP, mak371* for DJGPP 1.12,
mak373* for DJGPP V2-beta (you probably won't need the sources,
ie mak37?sr.zip)
