Did you install the latest version of the FAQ?  It is available as
faq102.zip from the same place you get DJGPP, and section 6.15 there
discusses some things to be checked when Info doesn't work. 

If you already did that to no avail, please go into the directory where
the file called `dir' is found (should be in the docs/djgpp subdirectory
of your main DJGPP installation directory) and type this command from the 
DOS prompt: 

	info -d . -f dir

Does this work?

If you cannot find a file called `dir' nowhere in your DJGPP tree, you 
probably didn't install the djdocs archive (djdocs112.zip).
