That's so, but Al Williams' book was written in 1991 or 1992, and if I'm 
not mistaken the DJGPP around at that time didn't have the clause 
specifying ``freedom'' (if locking something down is called that) from 
the GPL...

Actually, the book (well, it's old) even led me to believe that DJGPP 
didn't have any libraries (!!!)
