 Well, I'm feed up with that sucking DOS environment.
 So I decided to start with the gnuish counterpart.

 I've been looking up the msdos and gnuish subdirs on a local
 SimTel mirror and found some quite useful tools.

 But I'm still missing a shell (bash like) and a TeX bundle.

 I'd like to run this gnuish environment under Windows as well.
 Do I have to be careful selecting the right sources (say binarys)
 with respect to their ability of running under DOS / Windows ?

  ( /msdos obviously contains DOS only programs like freemacs ..,
    preferrably I'd like tex/emacs for Windows, and there are msdos
    versions too, like emtex, )

 I've been developing for DOS so far using djgpp.

 I'd need the following :
                                                       DOS | Windows
   1 ) a shell                      (?)
   2 ) emacs               (../vendors/gnu/gnuish)
   3 ) gnuish utilities    (../vendors/gnu/gnuish)
   4 ) tex                          (?)
   5 ) g++             (obviously I got this already)

Any advice are welcome by the beginner
