No, that's not true, because whoever posted the original message already 
has -lgpp on the link command line, and -liostr won't add anything to 
what -lgpp includes.  The only reason libiostream exists as a separate 
library is that it has less restricted license (it's not LGPL), but 
libgpp includes everything libiostrem includes.
