While I agree that the cluster overhang on large partitions is a
problem, I don't think the 'One Big File' solution is the answer.

First, you don't need the library source unless you intend to modify
the library, and therefore most of us can keep the source in some
archive format (I use gzip). This eliminates the problem most of the
time for most people, and all of the time for those who never need
to look at the lib source.

Secondly, as has been said, compile times are _much_ higher when
you have to compile the entire library rather that one small file,
or even a handful of small files.

I know this has all been said several times,  but it's my 0.02.

JOIN, SUBST and a few other things are in a supplementary ZIP file
available in few places. Try an archie search for SUP622.EXE (self
extracting ZIP) or look in the index on gowinnt.microsoft.com it's
somewhere in the SoftLib directory I think. Or maybe the Peropsys
dir. I can't remember.
