:What is EMACS?? Is it just an editor or a complete programming
:language. If its a language, is it 32bit, DPMI, support DLL (or DXE),
:does it come with or have available graphics libraries and especially
:a MOD player. (I'm gearing up to make a tile-based world adventure
:game and would really like to do it in protected mode. DJGPP seems to
:have all that I need, except and IDE.)

It's an editor with it's own limited programming language, eLisp.

No, you'd best stick to DJGPP, but use Emacs or Jed with it.
