I'm looking for tar or gnutar for djgpp/msdos.
The bundled tar djtarx does not seem to have the same
semantics as tar (it seems to be mainly for unarchiving,
as far as i can tell from poking on it and looking at the
faq).
The sources for gnutar (from prep.ai.mit.edu) seem to
need some tweaking before compiling with djgpp, and if
the port has already been done, i'd appreciate someone
pointing it out to me.
(I need tar or gnutar ultimately for reading from and writing to
a raw device on msdos, which i suppose may be its own adventure . . .)
Thanks for any pointers anyone can provide, especially
if i'm somehow missing the relevant points in the faq.
