You're right, something's changed and it isn't writable anymore.  I can 
still login as anonymous, though.  Maybe you tried during their business 
hours, when only 6 anonymous users are allowed?

DJ, did omnigate cease to be writable on purpose?  Who should I talk to 
to find out?
