If I'm compiling a C++ program with gcc (in DJGPP 1.12), and if I'm
getting a lot of errors, oftentimes I'll see a crash within g++. When
the crash occurs (if it does), it usually appears to be a segmentation
fault.
There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to the crashes; sometimes
when I get errors it crashes, and sometimes it doesn't. Everytime
I've gotten the crashes, though, I've always seen enough of the errors
to be able to fix the problem and continue. And when there are no
errors in the C++ program, I never get a crash (i.e., I've never had
any problem compiling and running error-free C++ programs).
Since the crashes don't actually interfere with my development, they
don't bother me overmuch. But I am curious . . . does this sound
familiar to anyone?
