Subject: Info: GRX-problem with laptop (Cirrus GD6440) solved

Some time ago I sent a message to the list to solve a problem with my laptop.
I got exactly 0 (zero) answers.

I have solved it myself now. Maybe someone is interested.

Problem:
GRX-programs work fine with the Cirrus Logic GD6440 graphics device and the
built in vesa driver of go32.
Any loaded font will display correctly. But when using the default font for
printing in graphic mode the printed characters are just garbage.

Solution:
Get the file 6440-D1.ZIP from ftp.cirrus.com . In this archive you will find
a small tsr called TSRFONT.COM .
After running this program DJGPP graphic programs using the default font are
working correctly.
(BTW: TSRFONT.COM can be loaded into high memory)

Tony
