The current first beta release of DJGPP v2.0 has a bug whereby you cannot 
use it without a coprocessor on a 386 or 486SX.  You should wait for the 
next beta which DJ said will be out RSN.  Earlier I posted a URL where 
you can browse the list of currently known bugs, fixed or otherwise.
